You'd probably be best with compact fluorescents. There are people on here who use them and their plants look good. From your description of what kind of setup you want, this is what come to into my head (see pic). To be honest with you, it's probably not worth it. It's better to grow in an enclosed space so you can hang stuff on the walls, keep the light in and generally have control over the environment. Have you thought about the smell? If you plan on hiding it from your parents then you'll only be able to do so until the plant starts budding (if it gets that far). The smell of blooming cannabis plants is an extremely powerful smell, impossible to cover up without proper equipment such as negative ion generators, o-zone etc. You wouldn't be able to hide it for long, it's one of those smells that lingers and impregnates your curtains, bed covers, carpet and even your clothes whn you stand in the room. One plant shouldn't be too bad but it will definately be noticeable. It smells like cat piss.

just go to the hardware store and get a floresent light with 2 bulbs and it would only have to be 2 feet long ,if that. just remember to keep it no further than 3-4 inches from the top of the plant and dont over water and youll be fine P.S. grow a tomato plant beside it and your mom wont tell the diff lol my mom was impressed that i was taking up gardening
\"stand up for yourself and what you belive in and no one can ever say you didn\'t\"smokey R.I.P.
