Brown tips and edges, pictures and data sheet

I have brown tips and edges burning but my stats are at what the makes of my food say... So I am not sure it is not a full blown wide spread problem just here and there it pops up and I don't want it to become a full blown problem.

    Problem Sheet

    First Hydro Grow

    Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's) 300w HPS 1ft from tops, 300w CFL just above the plants
    .2) Distance from tops?
.3) Reflector type? (cool tube set-up, bat wing, enclosed reflector, bare bulb...) CFLs Bare, HPS enclosed reflector
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? yes
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? yes
.6) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule?24/7 HPS Guessing about 2400, and CLF 5500

    Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...)Some are in coco sitting in the clay balls, and a few are in this white poly stuff â??seeing how the poly works it is cool had some aglea problems but is cool stuff.
.9) Did you use peat pucks (or similar) to root clones or germinate seedlings? Some seeds some clones

    Your nutrients and water:
    10) Source of water? (tap, bottled or filtered) What's it's ph before adjusting? Tap Water Ph befor 7-8
    11) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)aquarium test kit
    12) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)Ph up, And Ph Down
    13) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule. Sensi Grow A&B it is a two part mix you add them Part A is 3.7-0-0 Part b is 2.5-2.2-5.7 Running at 600 ppm as recomended
    14) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? hydro drip system some of my roots have made it to my tank so some of the roots are always wet but I am pushing lots of o2 into the water
    15) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...) No but thinking of adding molasses?
    16) Are your ph levels stable, or do they fluctuate? No my run off drops pumps up my adjusted Ph from 6.0 To 7-8
    17) What is your ingoing water's ph?6.0 ...your runoff ph? 7-8
    18) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? not any more

    Your growroom:
    19) Indoors or outdoors? indoor hydro
    20) What size of closet, room or hut?6x3x8
    21) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? temp about a constant 78 humidity not high ...With lights off?
    22) Have you seen signs of insects in the growroom? Clean as a lab

    Your strain:
    23) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?) some o.g. Kush and some carmel kush so both
    24) From seeds or clones? some clones some seeds
    25) Is this an autoflower strain? no

Try dropping your ppm's a tid bit and see if things improve. Some plants can be fussy

    Peace,

Late last night I dropped them back to 500ppm... We will see how low do I drop them and if I drop them to much what will I start to see.

have you noticed if it's happening to plants in specific mediums?

i think coco can run the pH gambit from 6.3-7 (not positive). coco does need calmag+ (or molasses). with regular hydro you want 5.3-5.8. are they all running from the same res?

did you presoak the hydroton? this could be causing your pH to run up.

    how are you getting runoff?

yes running same res. yes presoke, I built my own system so all my runoff goes into another bucket before for it goes back onto the pump it is a two chambered system so I am checking my run off ph out of the run off bucket.

The O.G. are having a harder time they are in the coco... 2 of the O.Gs have looked sick from the start odd clone cuts or just bad growing not sure. I will add molasses, and should I add H2o2 because the ends of my roots are in the water all the time or should I raise them out... I have a great deal of o2 going into my water via fish tank o2 pumps because of this.

    gotcha.

how about the problems, are they in one type of media or the other? and you are mixing the coco and the hydroton?

the hydroton filled out the space in the pot for the coco clones to sit in. But I am seeing problems in both the poly and the coco/hydroton... The coco/hydroton is having more problems than the poly...

that's my best guess. coco and hydroton have different pH requirements (from what i've read at least).

that's where i would start. not to mention the coco needs calmag+ or molasses.

I killed one of my plants I think, I was adjusting the PH and the best guess is the first plant in line got a huge shot of acid it was crazy I just watched the thing loose pressure like a person it just wilted with in 15-20 and by two hours it got the dead plant bendy stem thing I have it flushing now but I don't think it can be saved I am so mad I should have turned the pump off for some reason as I put the stuff in it did not even cross my mind... But in truth I hope this is the case I have also read about fungus and other micro organisms killing your plants off but I don't think it is this fast more of a wasting thing. This plant has been week from the start and the shock I think just killed the little guy.
