PH down= phosphorus toxicity?
It also has a lot to do with the source, IMHO.
I guess if you were to add a few cups of bone meal and bat guano to a gallon of soil and adjust your water down with H3PO4, (Orthophosphoric Acid) and use rose food, (10-52-10 N-P-K) you'd experience phosphorous-caused lockout. (among other problems) :thumbsup:
The only acid I really wouldn't get to lower ph is the nitric acid. Not too sure it would work well with flowering.
