The QF can be heated and reheated over and over without harming it effectiveness.

That QF batch of F7N-08 means that is was manufactured in July '08 which makes it over a year old. If it were me, Id get some validity test kits and test it to make sure the creatinine, specific gravity, and pH are all still good before using it for the actual U/A.


Storing the QF bottle in a hot car is fine. Just be sure that the QF bottle will not be exposed to any direct sunlight. Exposure to direct sunlight will cause the creatinine, sg, and pH ''buffers" to dissipate, causing the lab to label the sample "not consistent with human urine".

Ive often kept my QF bottles stored in the glovebox, inside an old pint-sized Crown Royal bag. :thumbsup:
