My thought is to add the HPS now to increase production while the plant is in that "hyperdrive" flowering mode. HPS has the most lumens, so I figure give it the most energy when it really needs it. Then switching back to MH when the growth slows again to push out as much resin as possible. I believe putting the MH back on it with the UV that is missing from HPS, will accomplish that. Thus hopefully, the best of both worlds. Plus I have both lights sitting there so I figured why not.

I'm not telling anyone else to do it by any means, nor am I saying that it will for sure change anything. The stretch may just happen when the HPS comes in, screwing me on keeping em tight or something else to nullify what I have done. Who knows, I'm just putting up the truth, and the whole truth of what I'm up to here.

I don't mind pain in the ass questions at all. It's the stupid ones I mind. "Can my cfl produce like HPS?", or "I'm running 46 watts of CFL and my bottom leaves are dying, HELP!". Those kinda bug me depending on the day.
Yea, I feel ya on those type questions! And what your saying makes sense too. I did hear that blue is supposed to help in resin production, but never tried it myself. I have a CFL grow and do have some of the 6500K spectrum in there as well because I heard it was good for the buds as well. I'm still really trying to get my gardening in tune, but I will learn the details soon enough.

Looking good by the way! I've read a lot of your posts and seen all your attachments (i.e. pictures) and I must say you got a nice setup and your plants seem to be loving it! Whatever your doing, keep on keepin on!
