    Grow Help

Hi, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I've been considering growing a plant for a while now, and today I decided to do some research on it. At first I was going to grow secretly in my mothers house (my current residence), but I see it is frowned upon in this community, so I've decided to grow outdoors. I know nothing about growing plants, and I'm not sure our climate is good enough to grow (I live in Darwen, near Manchester) as this summer we've mostly had rain and overcast days. Can you guys give me some tips for growing at all? I've also been thinking about making some kind of make-shift shed that could grow as well, somewhere secluded. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

EDIT: Can someone also give me a particular strain to try and grow that isn't too pricey. A link to a website that ships to or is based in Britain would be very helpful

Seeing that you know nothing about plants at all, the only thing i can suggest to you is to READ!!!!

    Read about:

    -Lights and light cycles
    -Grow mediums
    -Nutrients
    -Air circulation
    -Watering
    -Temperature
    -Humidity
    -Growing techniques
    -pH!

I have no inclination as to where you are located and how far you are willing to drive to start a guerilla grow. You will have to wait until next year to grow outside at this point.

Somewhere secluded, preferably somewhere you have to hike to get to the spot. Nowhere near your home. But seeing that it IS August, I myself would have to say it's too late to start any outdoor grows. Then again I could be wrong as I'm a indoor grower!

I understand that I may have to wait until next year. I live in England, near Manchester. Although our town has a kind of mini-climate of it's own as it's in a big valley, it's a town called Darwen, and we have pretty crappy summers. I doubt I would be able to guerilla grow, but i suppose with some graft it might be possible.

    Darwen.

My possible grow site, if I decide to go through with this. I chose this place as it's secluded, and it's not a massive hike to get here (I live on one of the streets on that map)

Hi i live in birmingham and yes this year has been a very bad growing one for all outdoor growers here. Rain and overcast through 80% of our summer roughly.....

if you cant grow in your garden with safety then a gurilla grow is your only option.with that you will need to find a spot that nobody else would go to including dogs and other animals. Putting up a shed also would be a bad idea as it would stick out obviously were as the plant will more or less blend in during the vegetatyion stage.
best advice would be to read back on other peoples diaries in this secton going back months to the start of there grows and learn from people who have done it all before and made the mistakes already.
My first grow was all learnt from this website and a couple books so get reading and get ready for next year
