According to the FAQ at the Smokers Guide to Amsterdam:
"How much should I be paying per gram?" It varies depending on the quality, the type and location of the shop, the time of year and amount that you purchase. You are generally paying between â?¬4 and â?¬15 per gram with rarer hashes and hard-to-grow sativas costing more than the others. Prices have gone up a wee bit. Now 15 euros will get you that 1.7 of the top gear. An 1/8 or 3.5 grams will run anywhere from 10-40 euro depending on the strain, quality and the type of coffeeshop (ie. touristy, expensive, local, etc.) You can get a discount sometimes if you get 5 grams at a time. This is the maximum you can buy at any one time. We go into more detail in our book.
