Just got back from Amsterdam...

Hey Yall, Got back from Amsterdam a little while ago and I gotta tell ya, it couldn't have gone better. Except for the fact that we only stayed 2 days. After the 4 hour trip by Thalys train from Paris to Amsterdam Central, I was almost shitting my pants I was so excited. We checked into the hotel Victoria (Which I highly recommend!!!) and headed out for the day. It was the morning, so first thought on my mind was eating something, cuz I hadn't eaten all day. First off, I saw Pink Floyd, so we had to stop. It was pretty crowded so we just bought some space cakes, and ate them while walking to our next destination. Next we went to Barney's and ordered some bacon and eggs which were awesome. Tons of people were smoking joints/bowls/etc. in the shop and so I asked the guy working if I could see the "menu". He informed me that the coffee shop was next door. So we hurried and ate, and headed over to Barneys Coffee Shop. I was still not feeling the cake which disappointed me, so I bought an Amnesia Haze pre-rolled joint and my GF bought one too. HOLY SHIT was I stoned. I hadn't been that high since my first time smoking. I am pretty sure that as we were smoking the first joint the cake started to kick in, which fucked me up royally. After about a half hour of staring into space in Barney's, my GF insisted she was way too high and she needed to walk around to get some fresh air. So we walked around for about an hour until we started coming down then headed back to the hotel to "relax". That night, we went to the Rokerj I think it was called and bought some 5X Haze prerolled joints. We sat down and smoked for a while. Then a guy around the age of 50 started talking to us. He asked us if we wanted to buy one of his joints that he bought, but didn't want. So being as high as we were and not wanting to hurt his feelings, we bought it for 2 euros and went back to our hotel. There, we smoked his joint and watched funny techno videos on TV.
The next morning we went and ate at a local restaraunt then headed to Grey Area which I heard was supposed to be awesome. I met the younger American that I have heard so much about, and he insisted I try the Grey Haze. He rolled me a fattie himself and sat and talked for about a half hour with him and my GF. That night, my GF wanted to go to the Grasshopper, and what a shitty experience that was. The line for bud was wayyy too long for my liking, so we went up to the top floor to get something to eat. The waiter told us the only thing we could order was off the dinner menu which had nothing less than 15 euros on it. Since I wanted to conserve all the money I can for buds, we just got up and left. The we went to the Soft Temple which is a small but really cool coffee shop. A good looking woman was working, so we bought a gram of White Widow. Since I can't roll a joint for shit, she said she would do it, so we smoked for a while, chilled, then left. The last day we woke up, went and got breakfast, and headed to Homegrown Fantasy. We borrowed a bong and smoked a few bowls of our White Widow before realizing our train left in an hour and we hadnt checked out of our hotel yet. So after being an hour late for checkout being so burnt out as we were, we checked out and headed back to the train station. We still had about half of our bag left, and we didn't know what to do with it because we didn't know if we would be checked for bringing weed back to France. So my GF just threw it out, which broke my heart. I would have just given it to someone, but too late for that. Finally our train departed without anyone checking if there was anything on us which pissed me off a lot more, and headed home with a head full of THC and some of the best memories I have EVER had.

Heading there with my 2 sisters in the autumn sometime for 4 days on a canal boat. I'm really looking forward to it now after reading your post

seeing as you are flying from the states, it would be about 600 for the roundtrip plane tix. We paid 300 USD for the hotel for 2 nights, spent a total of about 150 dollars each on food, weed, drinks, souviners, etc. so that should total up to about 900-1000 dollars total per person. If i were you, I would stay for about a week cuz two days is no where near enough time!

Sorry for double posting, but no I didnt do shrooms. I've never done them before, so I was nervous about doing it there. I hear you shouldnt be around a lot of people your first time, and we only had 2 days, so I didnt want to waste one of those days with a bad trip. I was tempted to buy shroom joints that they were selling at the magic mushroom gallery, but the guy said if you are to do shrooms, its best to stick to eating them.
