Ah, well I haven't heard of that before but if that's true then you can get a Colorado Driver's license for a little more money than a Colorado general ID, and they will void your license from your old state and you will still be a licensed driver, with a valid Colorado ID establishing residency.

You can also establish residency by submitting along with your application a driver's license or general ID from another state along with a phone or utility bill addressed to you at your Colorado address. It is not difficult to establish residency and there is no mandatory waiting period, assuming you truly are a resident.
NatureLover Reviewed by NatureLover on . Moving to Colorado.... Rules of residency Question??? I will be moving to Colorado in 3 weeks... I have ample medical records to support my need for MM so that is not my concern... it is this, do I need a Drivers License as proof of residency or can I use my House Lease, power bill.... I heard you are not a resident of the state of Colorado until you have lived there for 90 days... then you can apply for your DL... Can I see a Dr. and get that started before being a resident?... any help would be appreciated... Rating: 5
