Male or female help please

Hey just got a plant last night off a friend. He wasnt sure of the sex. Just pulled it out of the lights this morning and noticed some little spine type things coming off the stems. Could just be new leaves but I'm not sure. Here are a few pics. Let me know what you think.

Way to young to tell. Once you switch your light to 12/12 you should be able to tell within a few weeks or less

Also am I able to chop the top of it off?Will that help growth?

it will promote 2 or more shoots at the top and put more energy into side shoots also but its a matter of choice i suppose look up topping or lsting

Also, I'd probably go with the LST route. That thing looks a bit stretched. A good LSTing will get that thing bushy as shit within the next month!! Good luck and happy growing! :thumbsup:

ok Ill look it up. What is the plant being 'stretched' caused from?Hoping its a female to. Smoke the bud off that plant last night and its pretty tight!
