Racism is always an issue that keeps coming up in politics all the time. In education now a days (atleast where I'm from in new york) they drill it into that all people are equal (I don't believe all people are LITERALY equal, obviously things like IQ and moral value exist too and no one can deny that its only logical). I think all people should have equal rights and oppurtunity but thers a serious problem with the whole matter.

If our government were to follow a "hands off" policy where we no longer attempt to constantly try to work on the problem eventually two things would happen, and one is more likely then the other in my opinion.

1. (more likely) The lack of organizations and movements protecting these people would lead to violent and absurb racism all over again, even with the laws we have protecting them.

2. (more possible today then ever) Because were constantly not badgering the "non-targets" of racism they don't feel like they want to be rebelious and be racist towards certain groups of people.

In otherwords, I'm saying that the talk about racism in the world is the racism in itself; people don't want to constantly to hear about how life sucks for others and a lot of people simply don't care. And when they don't care or become annoyed, they act out on these feelings and may act racistly.

Whats messed up is that I can't even deny that when I see black people I become "uncomfortable" but I NEVER proceed to ever act on that feeling. I never treat another race differently ever but I wont lie to myself and say I don't have racist feelings.

I believe people behing honest about this type of thing is the real first step towards ending racism.

Also I don't feel that obama is racist I seriously doubt that but I what I feel is hes just one more politician on the list thats messing up. Things like him laughing off the topic of legalization of marijuana just prove how he can't even grasp the most simple of problems. Anyone who isn't fully backing legalization in a controlled mark is just wrong and it says a lot about how they would take action against other things.

By the way, its out of the treasury dept. cause it IS about money... they don't care about the health factor. The prohibition of drugs like marijuana provide just oppurtunites to many dea officers. Although thousands of new jobs would appear of course, some people will lose jobs they already had and aren't going to agree to a legislation that'll get them layed off. The fucked up thing about is that these corrupt groups have more resources then the legalization movement can even begin to touch on.

---------My feeling is that racism is going to slowly dissapear as more different combinations of races continue to marry and have sex. Also, I deifnatly feel like the mindset of our youth is opening up more and more.
