Ok...I have to get something off my chest. I could be wrong in my thinking, and if I am...please tell me. Here goes:

When cannabis was declared illegal (I know, there was the tax stamp and all that first), one of Anslinger's main arguments was geared towards the black and mexican community. Specifically stating that: "This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes", and "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men." Now we all know this isn't true and cannot even be proven if someone actually did think it was true. So to me, it sounds like Anslinger was a racist (I know...my powers of perception are astounding lol)...I'm just stating the obvious here.

So if Obama supports a law that was partly based on racism...does that make him (and anyone else for that matter) a racist????? The irony here to me is that he is black...need I say more?

Also...on a side note, does it not sit well with anyone else that the Federal Bureau of Narcotics was established as part of the the Nation Treasury Department??? What, if "their" motives are not monetary, was the reasoning for this? Why did a narcotic division spring up in the treasury department??? If the case was that it was damaging to a person and their actions, why didn't this division come out of the health department??

The more research I do, the more angry I get about this matter and the world we live in. When is everyone going to wake up and realize that we are a divided from the ground up by manufacturers? When in actuality we are all one being...there is no black, white, mexican, Pakistani, whatever. There is no right, no wrong, no good, no evil. There is only what WE manufacture, and what we've manufactured is a way to divide people with laws, language, religion, time, and anything else we can manufacture. We are truly in a sad state of affairs.

Now I'm not saying Obama is racist, I'm not saying that at all. I would like to think he's not. Although I don't personally know the guy, so I can't claim either way. I'm just bringing up a thought, something that occurred to me...that's all. I guess I just wanted to bring up another point as to Anslinger's ridiculous and unsubstantial claims...ones that are still upheld today.
