    My first grow!

I would like some advise if there's anything I can do to make them grow faster? I have 6500 color temp and 2500 lumens in each bulb. my water is at 8.5 pH though but they look good. I have well water and distilled mixed so not sure why its so high. what house hold stuff can I use to lower my water pH?

your ph is wayyyyy to high, I'd just use the tap water and I use concentrated lemon juice to lower my ph, which no one here has told me is a bad idea, so thats what I'm gonna suggest. Also how many bulbs you runnin? Watts? Do you have some pics of your box? What growing medium are you using? Are you giving them nutes? These are the types of things you should include if you want help from the cannabis gurus around here, although it seems this forum was practically made for lurking. You need 20 posts to add pictures, but if you have a photobucket account you can just link them from there, which is what I do.

Im using 4 bulbs that are 4 foot long and they are 40watts 6500 color temp each. my soil is Scotts potting and no im not using ferts because this soil has a 4 month time release but I will give it my own when flowering comes. I will try the lemon trick and see if the pH goes down thanks.

intend of the well water and distilled, I went with my bottled water of hickleys that has 6.3 pH and no chlorine. I hope they stay pretty.

no man, no nutes yet, you'll kill them for sure, lol.

a couple things, first, you don't need anywhere near that much light for those
seedlings, nor do you need them that close just yet.

plus, you'll want to get some red bulbs, in the 2500Kelvin to 3000Kelvin,
if all you use is 6500's, your nodes will be so short, taking cuts will be
    problematic.

you want about a 3 to 1 ratio, blue to red in veg and about a 2 to 1 ratio,
    red to blue in flower.

also, you might want to switch to something like these pics using CFL's,
they're easy to find, cheap to buy and use and, because there are many
bulbs, it gives you the ability to really control your spectrum.

and when they get a bit bigger, add an oscillating fan for air circulation, it will
    help strengthen the stems.

    good luck grasshopper, lol.
