    Quick risk assesment question....

    Here's a FLIR/IT question for everyone....

Ok....in my setup I have a wall a/c unit. The veggies I'm growing are in a grow tent, 250w HPS lamp. The room that the tent lives in has an attic above it that is very well insulated, along with the walls. So really the only hot air expelled is coming from the a/c unit, which is under a big tree, and backs up to a cinder block wall to a main street...below eye level. I'm thinking if LEO uses FLIR, they would only be able to use a copter to find it, as opposed to a patrol car as it is below line of sight. Soooo...if a copter does fly over, would the expulsion from the a/c raise suspicion??? Or would they just disregard as an a/c unit. I live in a very hot area during the summer, so having a wall a/c...I would imagine...isn't out of the ordinary.

Thoughts anyone?? Security is my number one priority right now.
    Thank you

If you are only running a 250w the heat will be dissipated by the time it even gets outside.. They catch big grows with FLIR cameras, like multiple 1000w lights. The heat from a single light and your A/C unit is nothing. Just dont be stupid and you will be fine..

    Quick risk assesment question....

    Cool...thanks EmoRebellion.

I didn't think it was an issue...just thought I would ask. I've seen so many conflicting stories regarding FLIR and thermal imaging, including information from the manufacturers sites themselves. So it's really hard to know who is giving correct info and who is not.

I have not told anyone what I am doing, so I'm trying not to do anything stupid LOL. Granted I should've done more homework on things before I started...i.e. buying the grow room a different method maybe, light, etc..., but I hardly thought little 'ol me buying a 2x2x4 grow room for 2 plants would raise any suspicion.

in most cases they would need to get a warrent to do a flir job on your house.
if they have enough evidance to get that then most likely they will execute an actual search warrent.
but the heat from a single 250 is really minimal.
