Has this happened to you? Diluting urine with urine.

Hi,

Long story short, I took a drug test today and the examiner asked for a certain amount that my sub could not fill.

I wound up peeing a tiny bit into the clean sample, (about 40 ml was clean and less than 0.5 was my own, Stupid I know I should have just told him I had none left.)

I have been diluting just in case for about 4 days. I am a moderate smoker, 4-5 times a month, 120 lbs and 5'3. What really gets me is that I AM a Lab Technologist (Blood bank, I know zip about testing for drugs except ref. ranges) and I should know better.

I know that the test calls for the ref. range, and since my own urine is mixed it it is possible the urine could be tested positive, but since it is so little of an amount and I have been diluting what are the chances of it being negative?
Has this ever happened to anyone?
Mixing clean urine with dirty and coming out on clean?

I would appreciate any feedback anyone can offer me. Thanks!

I've done it before so I didn't have to argue with the tech. I'm an everyday smoker and it worked fine. STill passed.

Yes, I don't recommend it but I have seen quite a few posts over the years where people have mixed some dirty urine with clean urine. I think you stand a great chance because you took the extra step to dilute. Sounds good to me.

I took the test at around 9AM yesterday, and I'm slightly scared b/c I water loaded that morning, peed 2-3 times, used the midstream urine and it was a bit yellow. I guess I'm looking for a little reassurance that I haven't failed.

I should know by tomorrow if it was tested clean or not. Thank you both for the feedback!
