    2 very simple questions

Noob to the site, done my research, but can't seem to find answers to these specific questions.

    1. Non-feminized white widow seeds are way cheaper. Wouldn't it be cost effective to just buy ten non-feminized seeds, then wait two or three weeks to see which ones are female?

    2. I plan on using Fox Farms Ocean Forest mixed with Miracle-gro brand Perlite. What is the ideal ratio?

    1. I guess that would depend on your plans for them. If harvest is all you're after, I'd go the fem seeds, that way you pretty much guarantee a full harvest.
If you're looking for a good mother, go the std seeds, and pick the best Fem.
Out of interest.. how exactly are you planning to go from seed to showing sex in 2-3 weeks? :what:

    2. Preference, We don't have FFOF in NZ, but I use 10% Pumice 5% worm castings 5% Builders high grade Sand(baked at 100deg-C for 1/2 hour) mixed with a sterilized local equivalent of FFOF

    Hope that helps

    -Peace-

    2 very simple questions

Maybe I won't be able to tell at 2-3 week. I got the impression that I would be able to tell whether it was male or female when the stem forked into other stems and their was slight flowering, like in the picture. But, I'm starting to think this won't be noticeable until later on? You got me leanin towards feminized bro, thanks for the advice.

White widow feminized is a bit pricy. I'm lookin at California Dream feminized (indica sativa mix)now. Buds look amazing, posted a pic. Site claims it is same growing difficulty(moderate), same yield, same flowering time. U think it would be any harder than white widow? (which I've read isn't that difficult)

If you get non-feminized, grow them until you can get a few good cuttings off each plant, root the cuttings, as soon as they root, put them in a different area with 12 on / 12 off lighting. Make sure the dark period is really dark.

They'll show their gender and die, but if you labeled which plant each cutting came from, you can cull males before they get a chance to release massive amounts of pollen.

    2 very simple questions

    1. With standard WW seeds...I germinate twice as many as I need. Veg them for 30 days and switch to 12/12 flowering light cycle, to see who is boy/girl......(my last WW's; some showed the sex during veg (28 days)...the other showed their sex two weeks into flowering (12/12)

    2. I like 20% perlite mixed into my soil, with extra drain holes drilled into the bottoms of the pots.
