Deformed leaves curling under and leaf and tops are turning purple

This problem has been showing up for the past 4 years. Clones start out normal but soon signs of purple show up on top of plant. As the the plant grows the leaves curl under, become deformed and turn purple. Thought maybe it was just the clones, but it shows up on other plants that friends give me. Even shows up on some plants that are started from seed. Have been outdoor grower for years and have not done anything different. Use good soil and compost. Thought maybe it could be spreading from the soil. (Bacteria) have used new soil, still shows up. Even planted directly in ground in different area, still shows up. Need help. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
