    A Few Problems...Uh Ohh.......

    Well, here's the situation.

I have people who I have coming into my home to lay down new flooring and such. Well they need my door open to lay down some pieces for the doorways.

This is where my problem comes in. I have them in a closet and if I open the room they will see my kids. I also can't turn the lights off, as that will stress my kids and throw the light cycle off.

Only thing I can think of is:

    1. Either pluck one of the ladies early and take my losses. Then take the remaining to a buddies to finish up.
    2. Turn the light off while they work, but I don't see this one happening.

I don't know how I would take a 3 foot plant out of this house and transfer them to another spot.

Please anybody help assess the situation in some way. I'm really considering just getting rid of these and starting fresh when the home gets all done being remodeled.

Plus I checked the kids yesterday and they are starting to get mites all over badly. Another reason to think on getting rid of these....

Oh and I forgot to mention there is about 3-4 weeks still left before they get done....

This is like one of those unsolvable questions you get on some tests...

If they really are infested with mites, I would probably abandon it. Fighting those f***ers is a losing proposition, especially with summertime heat.

I would go ahead and turn off the lights while the workmen are there. If the plants don't react badly, you can still recover, should you change your mind.

why don't you reschedule it for 3-4 weeks? or turn the lights off it won't hurt em too much. I had two power outages that cut their 12 hours in half and ended up seedless

    good luck

YOU COULD PUT THEM IN BIN BAGS AND MOVE THEM INTO THE ATTIC FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. SHOULDNT BOTHER THEM TOO MUCH

The only problem with rescheduling it is that it is through my insurance company, so it has been all prearranged. I figure I can just kill the lights for a few hours I suppose.......

Thanks for ya'lls help everybody! What would I do without you all!

    +Rep for EVERYBODY!

turning off the light wont hurt em much, its turning it on

I often change my lights in flower without a prob, just go dark for 24 and pick up on an opposite cycle.

I occationally have to turn my lights out in my flower shed. Right now it's 116 outside, (104 inside the flower room) and if it get's a degree or two hotter I'll have to shut down early today. It hasn't a problem to date shutting them off a tad early on occation, but I sure look forward to fall...

Off then on again isn't recommended, though. I've had a few power outages and wasn't there to reset the timer one of those times. Was a three hour outage according to the timer. Figured it out a couple of days later when nanners started showing and I noticed the lights weren't on when they were suppose to be on. <doh>
