The MF Launch Box fills the 'under $100 electric' niche very well, although it's mainly for portable use. At your upper range of about $150, there are quite a few nice box vapes, although I'd avoid the ones with digital displays. Digital in this price range doesn't get you much except 'made in China' boxes with no warranty and a high failure rate. Take a look at the box models sold by Vaporstore, Vapenow, and Gotvape. Their analog models are all good ones.

Personally, I'd go for the Da Buddha (DBV) from 7th Floor. You get the same guts as the $250 SSV with a nice carry/storage bag and hands free design. Much nicer than a lightweight box IMO. Vapenow has it for $159 w/free shipping.

for that price range you might as well just get a nice bong, you will never be satisfied with an 80 dollar vaporizer, you get what you pay for

"Vapor Brother's hands"-free a good choice. Small, quiet and sturdy (my hubby has dropped ours several times and I've managed it a few times too ). The "look alikes", do not measure up to the original. Mine was $139 +S&H and came in under $150. It has seen heavy use for over 3 years.

He SAID, 80 to 150, and between those price ranges, he can get a VERY good vape, including a VaporGenie, which is 25 bucks BELOW his 80 dollar minimum.

Telling someone that they will never be satisfied with an 80 dollar vaporizer is TOTALLY false, for there are many people who are, including myself.

The Vapolution is a nice combo vape. Not the best home unit or portable, but a decent combination of the two. The downside to this model is the narrow bowl with only a dimple in the glass for a screen. You can't effectively use ground herb. You have to use small pieces-too small and they'll fall out (unless you keep the bottom of the unit higher than the top during use), and too big and you won't get good airflow or an even cook on the bowl contents. The narrow bowl also restricts the size of the hits. A standard size whip vape provides more satisfying hits. The upside to the system is an all glass vapor path. The heating chamber is glass and it's heated by a nichrome wire wrapped around the bottom of the glass chamber.

I used this model for a couple of years, but after buying a Purple-Days vape, the Vapo doesn't get used anymore. And for portable use, the PD has the same 12V system, which makes car use a breeze. And other portables, like the iolite and Magic Flight, have made the Vapo less attractive in traveling mode.

the purple days is i think now 180 (when I got mine they were 150) - I know thats a little over, but if you're looking for efficiency (getting high more off less) this will change your life. I went from around a quarter a week to around a half eighth a week when I got mine, getting high in similar quantities.

Plus, you can re-use vaped stuff - cook with it or smoke it, although I'd say reserve smoking it for blunts or j's and only if you mix the vaped stuff with regular weed.

the da buddha was my next choice, and although I never got one I've heard only good things - same goes for the magic flight box
