Need Tips on MMJ-Friendly Rentals in San Diego
Hi, my roommate Dave and I are planning a return to Southern California in early September -- we'd lived in Los Angeles before, where Dave was a mmj patient and I was his caregiver, but now we're planning to go to San Diego. We're currently living in Central Florida. He has a mental disability (schizoaffective disorder) and mj helps him function more normally. I don't use it myself, but I'm all in favor of anything that helps him with his condition.
I was in San Diego earlier this year scouting around and really liked the OB area as well as University Heights and North Park. Our budget is about 1000/month for a one bedroom place and we like to be in a walkable, villagey area with some green space.
At any rate, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on being a mmj tenant in San Diego. Do you mention it to the landlord? Is any one particular area more open to mmj tenants than others? How could we find an mmj-friendly landlord? I want us to be in a setting where he can feel reasonably open and comfortable taking and possibly growing his medication. Thanks for any suggestions or resources you could recommend.tedruxpin Reviewed by tedruxpin on .
