YELLOWING...DRYING UP FAN LEAVES....
cha-ching has 9% N, 50% P, 10% K, .02% B, .05% Cu, .10% Fe, .05% Mn, .05% Zn.

also, like rusty said, with 3 foot plants your light penetration is not going to be great down below. the fan leaves will yellow, wither and fall off. if they come off with a "gentle" tug there is no harm removing them, IMHO.
you need to be paying attention to new growth and/or bud formation. these are the important indicators.
you can get some molasses for ~$3. give it a shot. the cha-ching won't hurt, but it's not a must. i'd try the molasses first.
