hps light question

ok my hart was pounding incase i whent out
and spent money on the wrong light
how long did you have your lights on for veggie stage

I had my lights on veg for 5 weeks,But if you read most cannabis cultivation books they say that you can cut the lighting t0 12/12 after four weeks.But i gave mine that extra week just to be sure.You can cut the lighting period at any time you wish this will intraduce flowering after about 14 days or so.
