this isn't really a 180, this stooge has always been against legalization or even tolerance and only went along with his city's stance because "that was the law". we're dealing with politicians, lawyers and cops here and none of them are willing to give up the control afforded by this prohibition. despite their rhetoric, they know that this isn't a public health issue but a matter of control over the population. a necessary component of our latest regime's march toward totalitarianism.
