Need a bit of help!!!!

i got a couple of plants less than one foot tall they started budding then went back to vegging.
how do i keep them vegging so they can get taller or any one got any advice imp:

Sounds like outdoor girls.
If so, best let 'em be.
They'll veg. until the nights get longer.

Indoor?
If you wish to keep them vegging, give them 16 - 24 hours of light.
Or.
If you give them 12 -14 hours of darkness they should continue budding and app. double in height.
