    Ph problems

I have a 4 week old plant, in a 2 gallon pot. fox farm ocean forest soil, growing under cfls 5 23 watt bulbs. Ventilation is solid, but I have a problem with the dreaded yellow leaves. I know their are a ton of threads about the yellow spots but my whole leaves are turning yellow and then brown. I would post pics but I lack a camera atm.

I was almost positive it was a ph problem [due to the fact that I haven't tested my ph]. How sure can I be that its ph, or do you think its ph at all?

also I wanted to ask If anyone has used this specific meter, its a 3 way meter it tests lights, soil, and ph.

    thanks everybody.

If you don't know your PH then that would be it next it overfertilizing. But sounds like nute lock out.

Have not used that meter but you can get cheap PH meter. Do a search here for milwakie ph600.

I'd copy, paste and answer the troubleshooting form. The link is in my signature. Playing guessing games is often fun, but your crop is likely looking for a solid solution, not a week of guesswork.

First thought with your description is...how often do you water, and do you let the soil dry between waterings?

I agree..have never had success with soil probes, and you'll want to know the ph of the water anyway. A ph pen is a wiser (albeit usually more expensive) choice IMHO. My next choice after that would be an aquarium ph test kit. Third would be to ask the local aquarium shop to test my water for me. And I doubt a soil probe would never make my list.
