First time grower with a bug problem. I hope someone can enlighten me without photos. I will try to give all the details in hopes someone out there has an answer or can help in any way possible.
(Indoor, rockwool, manual daily hydro watering with hydro nuts)
(Plants all look very healthy and are growing well about 1 1/2 mos. into Veg.)
(PH good, Temp. good, Airflow good, Humidity good)
I have these very small bugs in and on the rockwool. They look like spider mites, but I have been assured they are not by my local hydro shop. From what I have been told, spider mites are on the leaves not in or on the rockwool. There are none on any of the leaves.
Have inspected them very closely under a microscope and they look just like spider mites.
Hung a pest strip and sprayed with a 3 and 1, treated with Neem oil(Not at the same time, but over the course of two weeks). They are not as bad as they were at first, but they are still present. The pest strips seemed to be the best defense so far. I uncovered the top half of the plastic after I hung the strip and they were gone....Checked the bottom half still covered and they were there...Uncovered the whole cube and they all seemed to be gone...Recovered the cubes and they are back in lesser quantities.
Could they be lice and if so, how do I get rid of them?
A little histronic, I know, but I figure the more info I give, the better picture I give without a picture....lol
