First time UK Grower!

Hello fellow tokers,

I have been blazing for many years and have finally got the job I always wanted and now have my own apartment.

So - you know whats coming next.

I want to start my own private grow just for my own needs. I am not interested in selling or anything else. Its purely for my toking needs of an evening while watching some movies

I have been completely over-whelmed today with the amount of knowledge flying around. I have read/seen many growing tutorials and I have gained some valuable information in general. But, to be honest, I am a little lost.

I am not very interested in the science behind getting great bud. I just want some fairly 'OK' bud to blaze of an evening.

I am looking for a simple step-by-step tutorial to follow to build a small grow op. I want it to be self-contained in a box (which I want to make) so I can leave it in the corner. I don't have a spare room.

So, could someone point me to a good, solid tutorial I can follow step by step? I am a total newbie to this scene and I didn't know such a large community existed. I have just become an expert in smoking it hehe only now am I appreciating the time and effort growers actually put in.

So yeah, any tutorials or guides (good ones!) please let me know. Or if you can give me any other advice thats more than welcome too :rastasmoke:

Welcome, you have just taken your first step into a larger world.

You will be real busy reading alot. First you need to decide how much space you can use. How big can you make your box ? What kind of light you can afford ? Do you have a hydro place to buy nutrients near by ? That's for soil or hydro. What kind of ventilation you can get. The biggest problem is heat from the light. Look at the groww log's and see if anything fit for you. Alot of good idea's going on there. Alot of people here will help but you must decide how deep you can get.

Remember bong heads don't grow med's. LOL

Hi mate,

Well basically I would like to start with just two plants. So a grow box howto which will grow two plants nicely would be a fantastic. I don't want anything over the top - just something I can grow two plants in easily with 'OK' results.

What grow box/cabinet design would you recommend to me as a first time grower? Money isn't really a big issue but I want to create this myself and not buy any pre-built grow boxes - thats half the fun in my eyes .

I have seen so many designs and I don't know whats the best etc. It would be nice to have a pointer on 'this design' and you will need this, this and this - then I'll purchase it and try to build it. I'll also write a detailed log for the forum as I go a long with pictures.

I am slowly learning more but the more I learn the more questions I have. So a straight forward recommendation or tutorial would be great.

I just started growing aswell, im on my first grow as well, here is a page i started off reading which gave me insite also go to the index page and go to the marijuana section has loads of info. Hope it helps you out mate!

I saw a cool grow in an old refrigerator. Just remember the bigger the light the bigger the buds. You could build a box to your size or find one. I saw one on here in a cardboard box. Talk about getto but it works and I think he had 2 nice plants in it. Small grow in kitchen cabinet and even in computer towers.
