Well I've been wanting to grow some sativa dominant variety for quite soe time now. Barney's farm Laughing Buddha is a Thai/Jamaican cross that is sativa dominant and and sounds like a nice mix.

I'm getting my materials together and will start germination on July 21st (marked as favorable in the Farmers Almanac).

I didn't pop the seeds because my 6900K CFL lamps didn't arrive yet. The LED rig I'm using tends to give plants too much leg, so I'm waiting. (Thanks Old Mac)!!

I did build and test a 18 site bubbler clone rig with 100% success rate.
Pretty standard setup, I think. 3 Gal bucket with 2 6" airstones and a 185 gph pump/ six nozzle 360 deg emmiter mainfold.
    Thanks Wee-zard !! :rasta:

I cut 18 curly leaf basil starts, dipped them in the root powder from germany my mother-in-law gave me, and dropped them into place. 2 days later I had roots with good growth! This time I used neopreme precut inserts but for the real deal I've ordered some net baskets and SuretoGrow pre-cut plugs.

The next window of opportunity according to the almanac is Aug 30. Now, I don't truly believe that there will any difference by waiting. It's just a nod to my grandpa who encouraged my natural ability to grow things back on the farm. He used to tell me "You a natural, boy", but I really learned by watching him and listening to what he told me.

Later, anyone who might be reading this.

Great to have you here, looking over my shoulder, Weez.

I keep flipping and flopping between Dirt and DWC.
Maybe keep the Mothers in dirt and clone to run in DWC, but still intimidated by water chemistry that comes with Hydro/Aero.

Just knowing you're around is a great comfort.

Damn if I'm not an old fashioned "for real" dirt farmer, but I keep hearing the call of the "dark side" like Homer's Sirens.

    What you say...

If I wanted to run DWC what type of metering would you suggest?

    BTW just for the record.

I can't find anything around to touch my humble bagseed grow. You are right about being spoiled.

With proper genetics things could get "scary" real quick....

But I can actually play my guitar again without pain.
    What a gift from God.

    Thanks Bro,
    M.P.

    Have you considered coco?
    Half dirt, half hydro.
The "comfort" of soil, the total control of hydro.
I'm impressed with it and now grow all my veggies in it.
'cept for a DWC W.W. in the sun, that is.

Answer dat call! It's for you.
No succubi need apply, da "dark side' has been sanitized for your health and safety.

Well, since you ask, I like the digital PH meters made for aquariums. you can leave the probe in the res. and check at a glance.
Easier to spot trends that way.

    Sure did brah

MK Ultra is hard to tame for indoors, but I highly recommend it for lollipopping and outdoors.

Well the actin white CFL's came in. But I accidently ordered 200 watt lamps. :i feel stupid: Damn, I don't know how one could call these Compact Flourecent when the lamps are this big. We're talking 15"x 4 1/2" here.
It's very bright and very very white, almost bluish, so I should be able to keep those seedlings and clones short and happy.

I guess I'll use just one backed off a ways...

Does anyone have an idea how far away I need them to be? :what:

BTW Weez, I ordered a Hanna aquarium PH meter, so I'm preparing for my first attempt at DWC when the clones are ready to flower.

Everything is in place waiting for day 1 to arrive.
