Wild plants are usually feral hemp which is fairly likely to be hermaphrodite and not very potent. But they can also be puely male or purely female, it's just a roll of the dice, but wild plants have buds too. Just remove the males when you spot them. I've got a pretty big wild patch going in New York. Useless to smoke, but fun to know it's there every year without anyones help.
