    Solar Bowl Rips

Has anyone ever smoked a bowl using a magnifying glass to light it? I waked and baked yesterday morning with a magnifying glass, and was struck by how different it is from using a lighter, or any other conventional method of lighting herb. First, the taste, you can really taste the bud, previously I had only tasted that much of the bud using a vaporizer. Second, it got me way more stoned using less weed than it would have had I used a lighter. It also conserved like crazy, I packed a pretty small bowl, and I was able to keep getting solid greens after 4 or 5 hits.

Anyone else ever harnessed the power of the sun to get high? Any tips/techniques?

yeah. use a glass magnifying glass if possible cause they work better, though heavier. try the solar bong. its nice. i had a mini bong in the shape of a bottle, dr. puffer RIP, and it hit amazingly. pretty much solar is just the extreme heating of the air around the green, so it essentially has no combustion fuel, leaving only taste of da herb. And they hit easier when they have a layer of black on them, the black charredness absorbs the heat, thus lighting the bowls easier. and if you can get proper temperature control with the magnifying glass, good luck, you can actually vaporize the weed. the burning temperature is lower anyways so you already conserve in that respect compared to a standard lighting apparatus.

solar bowling in the morning is a top notch way to start the day.

this may be a easy answer question, but how do u tell if its hittin'? will it smoke or do u just start inhalin as soon as the light hits it. And also, my dad has a super magnifying glass for computers and stuff so its real nice, and i cant wait to try it. Too bad i cant until december...

Just fyi, ive never had experience with a vapo, just a bong nd a bowl. and lovely bottles.

I started inhaling lightly as soon as I focused the beam on the greens, and could immediately taste the bud. Once I saw that the buds were burning, I inhaled harder. If you focus the beam correctly, it shouldn't take more than 1.5 seconds for the bud to start to burn. Watch some videos on youtube of people doing it to get a sense of how to do it.

Also, I did it at noon, so the sun was overhead, which could have made a difference in how long it took to start burning.
