I tried it recently and it seemed to help. There were 5 in a container, one directly above the fish tank airstone. The one directly above grew almost three times as fast, and is much larger than the others, could be the seeds, root growth, etc... but it seems to have made quite an improvement.

If you were to run a fish tank pump,up through a hole in the bottom of your pot planter,and you were to turn it on and pump air to the soil,would it give extra oxygen for the plants roots to grow thicker or healthier,or is it just a waste of time?
