South Louisiana grow season?
Hi all, first time grower here, what is the growing season for south La.? If one were to plant outside in early May, when can a harvest be expected?
Out of the plants I have, 4 showed male sacs and 3 of them showed pre-flowers a few month ago, but I've still got 3 plants that haven't sexed yet. Any idea when they might show their sex?
The 3 confirmed females are not flowering yet, but one is just starting to get some nice white hairs. Seeds I used were just collected from bags over the past few years. The plants are very healthy, about 4 feet tall now.

Wow, October? These plants are already 4 feet tall, how big will they get by then? I have them in a sunroom, should I top them at this point?

topping during flowering is not good from the research ive done..
hope ur sunroom is tall enough if u dont top.
sounds like u might have a sativa/indica mix strain or sativa.
sativa can get pretty tall.
if u have a indica/sative hybrid mix...
u can expect a harvest in late september.

Top them now before they start really flowering...or train sideways..you can transplant them in a much bigger container sideways and the brances will grow back upwards ...works like a charm. Anyways...expect harvest anywhere from early Oct to End of November depending on your genetics..if it's bag seed I will guess middle/end of October...if you had an early indica variety you can harvest outdoors first week of Sept! Good luck dude, take pics! :hippy: :rastasmoke: :stoned: :rasta:

Dood theres no real specific time you can and can't grow pot where you live really. Just as long as nighttime temps don't go under 60 f your fine, especially if your transplanting relatively mature plants (indoor germination). As to when your plants will be done that depends on how many hours of light your area is getting, full flowering will begin at about 12/12 hours of light and darkness. How many weeks from that point comes from the strain your growing, the more indica types are gonna be about 7-9 weeks whereas the sativas are gonna take 9-14 really.

South Louisiana grow season?
I am north west Florida and I am just starting to see pre-flowers, been pulling males. Being here I have grown before and been in full flowering by August and by Sept I am pulling them they are ready for harvest. If I left them till Oct they would rot and mold. I do have a small microscope and check the trics. I have now around twenty left, I bought seeds, and got twenty free, now get this the seeds I wanted the low Ryder didn't grow period, but the twenty free seeds did and it looks like some indica and I also grew some bag seeds and they look saliva. I am dying for them to get done.
