First Timer - UPDATE w/ new *Pics

Now, 6 weeks later, plant is now 34 inches... damn near 3 feet!!! Full fledge flowering, sprouting some buds. Coming to bloom nicely, after I added some nutes. Some problems along the way, but nothing major. Didn't expect my very first grow to produce anything... but now that I can see and smell fluffy smokables, I hafta keep telling myself, "patience". I so wanna sample some of it, but I know it's way too soon.

Healthy, green leaves. But the growing cycle seemed strange, they went from three-finger leaves... to single-finger leaves... to five-finger leaves.

But whatever, buds are starting to bloom, so I don't care.

I can't believe I was going to give this plant up, thinking it was a lost cause 6 weeks ago, going purely on the basics... dirt, light, air, and water. But now I'm seeing real results, so I'm gonna stick with it for the "long haul"... I hope to keep growing it through 'till September/October, if my willpower is strong enough. Just gotta keep telling myself, "patience"

JUST ONE THING... I've been thinking of going off the 12/12 lighting cycle for something along the lines of 14/10... would that be OK, ya think?

don't change your light cycle. It may of been ok in the begining but it will only stress the plant now. Maybe hermie.

Thanx LOC NAR, I'll stay on the 12/12 light cycle. Don't need stress in my (or my first plant's) life. :weedpoke: Tried to post last 4 new pics, but it won't upload I'll try again later... maybe tomorrow.

:apachecopter: Got the last few pics to load, even though they ain't much better than the others.. oh well -- they're here now.

Noticed one of the "tops" has pistil hairs that have turned from white to orange-ish last night.... what's up with that? I think I saw somewhere on this site that when hairs turn dark, they're "done" growing -- and should be clipped before the potency wanes... should I clip it (and toke)??? Pleeze??? :rasta:

Depends on the strain. Some are white strains, the hairs do not turn by the time your plant is ready. Regular have hairs that turn red way before done. So the only way to tell is by looking at the trichomes with magnafication. Do a search on trichomes they should be 80 percent milky and 20 percent amber. That is the peak more amber more headstone more mily more bodystone. Clear trichomes and an uplifting energy buzz that doesn't last long.

Alright LOC NAR, thanx again for your reply. I'll check it all out with a magnifier, but I already decided to just... let it grow, let it grow, let it grow.
