    Heart Trouble

    I have this SAME problem! :O

    I never had any body problems until I started to smoke weed. I could run a fuckin mile in like less than 7 minutes with minimal breathing. Now, I can't even run across the street and down it kinda without dying from overbreathing! Godamn, and I have that heart problem too. I'll lay down and it'll be throbbing throughout my body and I can hear it really easily even if I HAVEN'T smoked that day. I also have respitory problems too...geez, we're all fucked up aren't we?

    When I'm not high, whenever I take a deep breath I get a pain near my heart. The pulse is normal, but I'm definately laying off the pot for a bit.

    My best friend has the same problem. When his heart shit starts he says drinking beer helps it go away. When he doesnt have beer he plays video games to keep his mind off it. I had the heart shit once to after smoking 3 blunts with some of my friends and it's fuckin crazy.

    I would first recommend smoking less weed per session. Just increase the number of sessions throughout the day (depending on how long you want to stay high). Your energy is becoming too Yang (from the chinese medical theory, meaning, but not limited to "hot", "expressive", "active").

    By lowering the dosage taken at one time helps to keep the body regulated, and it prevents the body from becoming too imbalanced. I find that drinking ice-cold water before, during, and after my sessions helps greatly when I smoke a particulary "Yang" oriented strain. Regular weed smokers tend to carry less water anyway, and dehydration can affect us to a greater level than non-practitioners.

    Engaging in an activity to rid the body of the "Yang" energy also is another great way of getting the body back into balance. I personaly do internal martial arts, chi gung, yoga, or stretching during this time because you can expel the uneeded energy while not getting the body too hot, or shortening the breath too much.

    This could create even more unecessary Yang energy. Running, weight training, and the like, create a more expressive energy and should be avoided during this time. FWIW, I generaly do these activities more often on the down slope of the high, although when your energy becomes more regulated you are not restricted to this time period.

    If you are sedentary and do not have a way of balancing the energy through these means, I find it helps to focus on your breathing, when experiencing these and other types of side effects (i.e parinoia, chaoitc thoughts, insomnia, or general unrest.

    Particularly, focus on the exhalation. Make your out-breath is at least twice as long as your in-breath. It also helps to focus on the breath an the entrance of the nose to give your mind a focal point. Be sure to breathe through the nose. You can regulate the breath easier, and it allows for a more controlled exhalation.

    Finally, if you know the strain that you are smoking it could help to determine a better dosage, intake method, or possibly help find out if you need to try another type of herb. Also list any other drugs that you may be taking currently including perscriptions, caffeine, alchohol, recreational, and yes, even sugar levels.

    It might be wise if you smoke without tobacco, but I know how many people like smoking thier bunts. In a way it is like telling someone to quit smoking cigarettes. Also, vaporizing or oral consumption may be a good alternative for you to try. I hope you get to feeling better.

    no i have had the same problem what it is is pot makes you blood pressure drop and you heart beat race it happens to me when im on high doeses of pot and sometimes it gets so bad i start to shake and stuff its happened like fucken 5 times before so idk im still kicking?

    If the yare aftermarket wraps, most often they have more nicotine than your average cigarette. Many times they add it intentionaly to get you to crave the wrap/cigar more. Now certain true cigar companys do this as well. It all helps with their profits.

    The thing you have to worry about more is the levels of tar found in tobacco, even more so when it is processed.

    You can get all of the wonderful cancers associated with cigarette from blunt wraps and cigars. Im not sure on the content of tar in a blunt wrap, because many companys use different levels of pure tobacco, but a cigar has more tar in it than nearly a pack of cigarettes.

    I would say for a blunt since you just use the outside leaves, it would be closer to half. So, if you smoke 3 blunts a day, thats near the tar level of 1 1/2 packs of cigarettes.

    Normaly, cigar smokers do not inhale so the risks are not as great. However, I assure you that if someone is smoking a blunt..they are.

    People might use the argument that they already smoke cigs and a blunt wont hurt them, but if you smoke 2 blunts on top of the cigs, thats double the tar that they already smoked from the typical "pack a day".

    To make a long story short, unless you can't smoke without using tobacco, it would be wise not to use it in any form.

    I look at it like this...why would I want to spoil perfectly good herb? Im trying to get high, Im not trying to to cancer.

    I wouldnt shit in my sandwich before I ate it... Nuff Said.
