How ridiculous is this (regarding the downtown fire)?

"The fire began raging at about 6:40 a.m. on Thursday and was only contained when fifty-five firefighters battled the flames for about 40 minutes.

Once the fire was out, the firefighters discovered hundreds of marijuana plants valued at about $1 million in street terms.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but ABC7 is reporting that the huge amount of electricity needed to grow the pot plants may have overwhelmed the buildingā??s electrical system and started the fire."

First, I suppose no one got high since those were immature plants.
2nd, since only about 1000 plants, this shouldn't affect the local pricing at all.
God knows how many more of these urban pot farms are out there, especially since Obama administration gives people the illusion that Pot is about to be legalize.

Pot farms are unregulated and most of the time very dangerous with fire hazards everywhere. There needs to be a system in place for the state to keep track of pot farms and inspection in order for them to do business with MMJ collectives.

Oh crud, from that point of view it clearly explained,

"About 75 firefighters sent to the 600 block of South Santa Fe Avenue at 6:40 a.m. doused the flames in the single-story building in about 40 minutes, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department. No one was hurt."

75 were sent, 55 of them were fighting the fire. So you could say about 20 of them were there so they got a perfect excuse not passing their random drug test.
