Damn, there isn't much for roots on that thing. I'd say just go to walmart or home depot and buy some Miracle grow soil and some vermiculite or perlite, mix some with the soil and get that baby in some dirt.

shaded when its raining means nothing. When it is sunny, does it get sun all day in this spot?

You will have better results if it is in direct sunlight through the whole day....It will use whatever light is available even if it is in the shade. Yes it can grow there just very slow if it dont get enough direct sunligh. If you are looking for a big plant with big buds I would recommend finding a place that will give it as many hours of direct sunlight as possible.
The chance of clouds makes no difference because that is just nature....How many hours of direct sunlight possible can it get without a cloud in the sky?
If the sun is able to hit that spot every hour of the day (from sunrise to sunset) then that is a good spot and it will grow well.
