Anybody know why you get so much higher after a big coughing fit? I don't get it, but I sure do like it.

Nope. But I know that when I had a cold and my nose and throat were full of phlegm and snot I smoked and coughed like hell, and after that I felt all cleared up.

According to Jackie Brown, coughing opens the alveoli or capillaries or something in your lungs, which are trying to draw in more air, but instead draw in more smoke.

I love it too, only time i cough is when i take a big ass lung and a half full rip, usualy kniferz. gotta love them coughin spells that last for like 5 mins

It might just be because when you smoke you usually will have more smoke in your lungs than usual. so maybe you take in more thc

The bigger the hit = more smoke in lungs

more smoke in lungs = more THC in lungs

more THC in lungs = the higher you are


It's not the coughing that's getting you higher, it's cause you took a lot of smoke in.

i think this is correct u have more smoke so more THC but also think of this when u cough that pust a lot of pressure to ur lungs and i feel intense pressure in my head when i have a coughing speel after huge hits. so i think its the pressure of coughing and ur lungs tryng to get more air thats forcing more smoke and THC into ur system

No, common sense doesn't prevail. The reason you get higher when you cough is because the coughing speeds up your heart rate increasing blood flow. This allows the THC to flow to your brain faster. So you pretty much get high faster, not more high. (PS im a huge fucking stoner and i am currently stoned as fuck, ANYWAYS I gotta go to class purple monkey dishwasher.)
