no roots on clones
I have always used peat pellets with a a couple low wattage cfl's. If you have a way to keep the tray at around 75 degrees that works good (roots are attracted to warmth). The thing about root rot is you are gonna need roots for them to rot so not much fear of that right now. I use clonex rooting hormone make sure your dome has high humidity because the plant has no other way of absorbing water. Be sure to open up the dome a couple times a day to let the air swap out. lights should be on 24 hours a day and must be low wattage during the cloning stage (you dont want the plant to grow, just form its rooting system). You shouldnt need to water them after the initial saturation just mist to keep the humidity high
RichRich Reviewed by RichRich on . no roots on clones i used shultz powder root hormone. after 10 day's i was pulling off my humidity lid and accidentally pinch a leaf and the whole clone came out. to my amazement there were no roots and the tip was slightly brown. i have 21 clones and there are no roots on any.
