Just a letter I sent to my representative
Mr. Nunes,
Hello I am writing you again in the hopes of changing YOUR views on marijuana.I am also hoping to get you to vote yes on H.R. 2835 and H.R. 2943.
Mr. Nunes I would first like to remind you that you are in office to Represent the people of California, the people that voted you in office.A recent poll was conducted of Californians. The question was," Are you for the decriminalization and regulation of marijuana?".That poll found that 56% of Californians are for the decriminalization and regulation of marijuana.I would say to you that your personal views on the subject(and those of the people you know in law enforcement)should not effect your decision on this matter.Listen to the people who put you in office, you are there to Represent them and their beliefs. As long as the people in office continue to ignore the citizens will, and instead follow their own views and the beliefs of those in powerful lobbies in Washington; this country will continue to slide into civil unrest.
Mr. Nunes why should someone be able to inflict their views and values on another citizen in this great country.Oppression is oppression.Just because someone says that to do a thing is wrong, doesn't neccessarily mean that doing that thing is wrong!! Please fight for our civil liberties- do not fight to take them away.A Government for the people by the people. Do you remember that line?
I would like to give you an example of this.Do you still remember when the Federal government came to California and turned the pumps off. The pumps that at least 80,000 people in this state(many right here in the central valley you grew up in) depend on for their livelihoods.Do you remember how they said that turning these pumps off was the right thing to do? How can we allow the farmers to take the water, and harm the fishes. The fish must prosper!!! Mr. Nunes you as well as anyone should know how it is to go up against narrow minded individuals who believe that they need to impose their own views on a people. And how hard it is to change their minds when they believe they have the moral highground. I hope you the best of luck with getting that water turned on.
Mr. Nunes the shoe is now on the other foot, and I ask you;does it fit well? :stoned::stoned::stoned: what do you all think???thedeadone Reviewed by thedeadone on .
