the form is in place so the people HELPING save your plants can give you the best, accurate information, as quickly as possible.
it also might not be so hard to fill out if you READ the questions and answered the question asked.

also keep in mind that the new form is a work in progress!
as far as the pics go, you can't just plop a pic in front of someone and say "diagnose my problem". it doens't quite work that way. i mean if it did, you'd have fixed your own problem without having to post.
once agian, any feedback to the form will be greatly appreciated. and "it's retarded" is not feedback.
thanks.
-shakeheadshake Reviewed by headshake on . Leaf burn and discoloration! The problem: So I am having some issues with a couple plants. I am seeing discoloration spots on some of the plants...Some lighter and some darker. I posted pictures for you to see. Also, one of the plants is showing signs of nute burn? The funny thing is that I am not using nutes right now. Maybe it is light burn from my T5 light? Are these signs of lack or calcium and magnesium? picture #1 and #2 are showing a plant that is discoloring...I have one other plants that is showing Rating: 5

Leaf burn and discoloration!
hello martyrprojket,
First thing that strikes me is PH, for rockwool the target to hit is usually 5.5. I personally find 5.2 to 5.5 works best with my nutes and RW setup. (BTW in the form you say 5.8, but earlier said 5.5, which is it?) Find out what the manufacturer of your nutrients recommends and start there.
Second if using distilled (or RO) water in hydro, you need to add a little cal/mag, this allows the nutrients to be available to the plant.
Third was just touched on, amount of light seems limited. In the form you say "abt 350w" but a T5 in 4' (you don't mention size) would be 28w/ea NO (normal output) or 54w/ea if HO (high output) and 85w/ea if overdriven to VHO (very high output). So 4 t5s would be 112w, 216w, or 340w. Are you using an electronic ballast to overdrive? If you are then keeping the lights 2-3" is way too close, you need 5-6".
Fourth thing is whether you are feeding or not. But when you do you need to go easier then recommended by your nutrient mfg. Without the benefit of a PPM or TDC meter you'll be running blind, so keep in mind "less is more".
We all know filling out the troubleshooting form seems like a bit of work and a pain, but it puts as much info available, together in one place. Makes it easier on us to try to help you, rather then the other way around.
Good luck, let us know how things work out.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

Just took a second look at your pictures and it just dawned on me....if those are 4" delta blocks, and they are 4 rows of 4, you have an area of about 2'x2'. Maybe the form should ask, "what size is the actual grow area?" rather then size of grow room.
It wouldn't hurt to mention size of T5s as in 2' or 4', wattage and degrees Kelvin.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic
