The male will open it's pollen sacks and pollinate the females when he's mature. Not a bad thing if you want all of your ladies packed with seeds, but your yield will suffer greatly.

If you want unseeded buds, remove the males from the scene. (that's a male there) Looks like it has a week or so before release, but don't cut it close. One pod opening can contaminate (pollinate) an entire crop of ladies.
