roots in reservoir
Faster. Most strains flower in 2 months. Clones veg about a month, seedling about 2 months and autoflower BAM your there. Soil will take you much longer.

Is growing hydroponic from start to finish the same amount of time with soil in terms of harvesting? roughly 3 - 4 months?
