New on the scene....
Hey everyone,
I'm not a pot smoker, but I've done a lot of research on marijuana lately, and figured it was time to join a forum and ask questions.
I started looking into marijuana because I have severe epileptic seizures that I've had trouble getting under control with medication. My doctor *cough* never recommended to me in his office that I look into a little "special" medication.
I've been really reticent to do so, considering its against the law, but my seizures are really bad (I even got thrown out of the dorms because of them).
Does anyone have any stories of marijuana helping with really bad seizures? Also any advice on what I should do regarding trying it, not trying it, ways to go about procuring it, that sort of thing....Shylock Reviewed by Shylock on . New on the scene.... Interesting stuff, I was surprised that it said that it wasn't good for the little seizures, but good for the larger ones. I wonder why that is. I've got Grand Mal seizures, so I suppose that means that its in the clear for me there....

I looked over the list and read a few articles, pretty interesting stuff. Still, I'm hoping to get some accounts directly from the horses mouth, as it were.
Thanks to both of you for the info!

I didn't have full-on epileptic seizures but I did @ one point deal with constant body tremors. My legs, chest, arms; basically my whole body would shake like I was outdoors in Alaska with no clothes on. I tried to see if cannabis would work, and it surprised me by how well it helped. I had already been using it for other health issues, but the shaking thing was new for me. IT was something I hadn't experienced before, and in my "Weed Helps W/ Everything" state of mind, I decided that I would experiment with my medicine and see if it helped my tremors. Marijuana worked wonders for me in this area, and if you do look into using it, look into Indica-dominant strains. Sativa's might help, but a good indica will definitely help the seizures. If you need to stay alert as well, look into a hybrid of the two categories. Good Luck, and I hope you can find the relief that you're looking for. Cannabis might just be the answer you're looking for. Here's a link... Cannabis & Epilepsy
Might not be the most helpful, but I figure that another scientific article couldn't hurt.

Figured you're from Texas, so you could relate.
