I was wondering what t5 users recommend as a distance to keep the light from the tops?? I have a 4ft 4bulb t5..

note.
I will be using SMC leaf wash from now on once a week on all the plants including the flowering plants.. anyone disagree with this method?? I just want to keep my plants mite/bug free...

The lights on T5's can be kept fairly close to the tops, but usually a good way to tell is put your hand underneath the light and if it isn't too hot for your hand then you know your good.

Hope everyone is having a good morning today...staying medicated...I came up on some pretty good local stuff yesterday, thought i would share a couple pics..if anyone knows where i can purchase some seeds that will turn out like this, let me know asap..:thumbsup:

I looked in the flowering box today and found some stinky buds...woahh...a bit early but i guess nothing is wrong with some plants being quicker than others..although very small buds, they are there and i couldn't be any prouder of the ladies... no sign of bugs or pests so far, thank god. I have been using a spray of SMC leaf cleaner once a week in the veg and bud room and there loving it.. I have been watering the Ice clones about once a week which is convenient, but nonetheless disappointing because i feel they would end up better if they got could dry out quicker...next grow i am gonna be using black gold coco blend potting soil and that stuff only needs to be watered twice a week which is very convenient for my schedule..

The 7 hp ended up being 2 hp because 5 of them were not growing good whatsoever, which makes the hp count in the veg room 2. One confirmed female that is recovering from over watering and heat stress and one unknown sex that is looking the best in the garden..This plant was put into the black gold after 2 weeks from seed..

I will be using the black gold from now on or some better potting soil because i have learned you cant get great plants with ok soil..Great soil equals great plants..

Another bright morning and the buds are starting to fill out..
most of the ice plants have not been watered for about 3 weeks now but are still staying healthy..
i know this will affect the size of my buds and the amount of buds because you want your plants to dry out every 3 days or so, but it shouldn't affect potency..
which is all i really care about...
And its my second grow so a few little mistakes are bound to happen..live and learn...
Iv been using purple max according to the directions on the back of the bottle..last grow it caused my plant to have extreme crystal production and i used it only for the last two weeks..so this grow using it early and all the way till the end should cause extreme resin production and maybe some purple plants..:thumbsup:

watch when using the purple maxx. Go slow and light (I use it midway through the 5th week of flower on an 8 week flowering plant). I tend to use the purple maxx as a foliar spray and the gravity in the res (hydro). If your going to use those products, don't use them in the soil unless you want to buy new soil every time...
