if it's your first drug offense, nothing too bad will happen to you. they usually offer you a 251 disposition if you agree to plead guilty, which will make you do(over a 6 month probabtionary period) 24 hours of community service and random drug tests. but if your lawyer is good enough and can find something in your case to get you free, then ur good. i dunno wat ur being charged with, if its possesion - they dont care how or where you found it, the point is you had it and you got caught. I was in a similar situation a little while ago. i live in virginia tho. I got stopped in the middle of the street by about 4 cops because there was a "peeping tom" out that was wearing the same shit as me. they ran my id and i had a bench warrant for a failure to appear in court back in richmond. i got searched(found a bag with paraphernelia and about a gram of bud), put in holding at my local jail and was bailed out night. i took care of the shit in richmond with a lawyer down there and was dismissed of both charges(community service and shit for an underage poss. of alcohol). but while I was on trial for my local possesion charge the cop that arrested me fucked up while telling his story and "forgot" when he brought the homeowner(victim of the peeping tom) to the scene to ID me(btw he never brought the homeowner over, the cop lied several times while under oath) and seeing as how my ID was ran without even checking if I was the right person to stop, the judge decided to dismiss the case and i became a FREE MAN.
