    1st grow please help

i am growing 2 hindu kush babies, grown from seed. they were originally in soil, however i have recently switched them in to my home made top feed system. i have been using an organic veg solution, ans have followed the guidelines strictly as to how much to use for seedlings. they are being grown under a 400 watt hps, 18 on / 6 off. all of the older leaves are turning completely yellow and the newer leaves are turning brown on the tips. i have tried raising the light because i thought maybe they were burning but it hasnt helped. there is still new growth, but the tips are going brown. i am also having a bit of a heat problem as i cant get the temperature below 80. im am getting an a/c this weekend to take care of that problem, but i thought that maybe the heat was causing my issue. please help, i dont want sick babies!!!! :smokebong:

you are more than likely facing one of three problems 1.) you may have to back off on the feed the plant is recieving sounds a possible overfeeding problem to me. 2.) your humidity is too high can you possibly get use of a dehumidifier. 3.) if found out its not an overfeed problem your root system uptake may be locked up try a direct foliar feed with a dilute solution. and one more thing that springs to my mind is bugs, closely inspect all leaves and undersides to clear possibility of bugs sucking juices from your leaves. hope ive found your problem !

and as for heat (which may also be the problem) opening a window or leaving a small fan on several feet from the plant may be all you need to do.

i have a fan constantly on its highest setting trying to suck all the heat out and it stays around 85. im buying an a/c to try to control the heat. i will try to reduce the amount of nutes and see if that works.

    thanks man:stoned:

Ahhh...You switchd them from being outdoors in soil to a top feed system? What's a top feed system?

Bad idea taking them from outdoors, and bringing them indoors. Insects and roaches, different light, different schedule, different climate, different metabolic rates... Plus, it takes time for the plants to acclimate.

Most likely it's an overfert issue. Even organics can burn if overused.

If worried about heat issues, check my signature for some methods I use in dealing with the heat.

no they werent outdoors, they were indoors, just in small 6 inch pots. i rinsed the dirt from the roots and put them into my top feed (drip irrigation) system using hydroton. i am hoping that i will be able to solve this problem by adding another 15 L of water without any nutes to the res. hopefully this will dilute it enough.

p.s. i have posted a couple pics. sorry about the quality

Ahhh. Guess I misread. Don't often see a dirty hydro grow, lol. Gonna have to get help from another member, though. Never tried it, likely never will...and I know nothing about the system. Sorry.
