Check their gender! You can absolutely tell without flowering!

Pre-flowering. The Girls will show their pistils and the boys will show their balls.

Do a google search for "preflower, marijuana" and you will find pictures that will show you what to look for on your own plants to determine what they gender is, Very Cool.

Just make sure that you have a powerful looking glass!

To me it seems like it takes FOREVER to wait for preflowers instead of cloning. But YMMV I guess as the saying goes.
