That is so because the Bible already warned us, 2000 years ago, that in the end of the times there would be false prophets, and that their speech would be so good that they would decieve, if possible, even the choosen ones.

The bible also states clearly that even if an angel come from the sky with another gospel besides the existent one, that him be condemned.

So, one has the choice of believe in the Bible, or in whatever books one wish, but not in both, cause they contradict one another.

And dont forget that devil's greatest trick is make people think he doesnt even exist...

I dont think its an inconsistency... God loves us all, but He allows each one the choice of loving Him back or leaving Him. The ones who choose to leave Him will be left outside the heaven, to enjoy the hell they created themselves for themselves, after living a life of evil.
