I think you missed a vital event there. True, we were created perfect by a perfect God, but because we were created with free will and the capacity to rebel against God, Adam & Eve chose to do that. I don't really think that mankind in general is scared of being loved by God but more scared of being answerable to God. Everyone wants to be their own God and make their own rules and feel their way through life just deciding whatever they want to do without any consequences. We sinned against a holy God, so since God is perfect, He cannot abide sin in His presence. God didn't NEED to save us, He WANTED to. From the very beginning, He is motivated by love- in our creation as beings with choice, in our redemption, having His own Son die for us to atone for those sins, and in the future, when we are all called home to live eternally in His presence.

God is distinct from His own Creation. Creation cannot be a part of God, because then God would be have contradictory aspects. God would be both good & evil. He would be both life & death. He would be rape, murder, and theft alongside love, charity, and peace. Since good and evil are mutually exclusive, God can't be both.

God is the alpha and omega. God is everything in totality. Good and evil are concepts created by man, just as space and time are created by man. Forgiveness is not understood by man very well. We think God could possibly forgive us if we become circumscribed to a certain kind of behavior and belief system. True Forgiveness is unconditional. Otherwise it could not be forgiveness but a conditional tolerance. True Love is unconditional. Peace, MH

It is an inherent contradiction to say that God is perfect, his creations are perfect and yet fallible because God created freewill. It makes no sense my friend. It is not God who needs to forgive us, we need to forgive ourselves and eachother or else we cannot understand or accept the unconditional, unlimited pure love of God which has never been in any danger of leaving us. You seem perfectly willing to accept miraculous communications with God 2000 years ago and to believe literally the interpretations of God's messages by fallible but sincere men (which can be inconsistent even within the Bible), yet for you to consider that Christ communicates with us even today, to clarify inconsistencies...this you will not do. Why? You clearly believe in a Satan which is the great deceiver. So any attempt to clarify anything is feared as deception and imbued with distrust.

That is so because the Bible already warned us, 2000 years ago, that in the end of the times there would be false prophets, and that their speech would be so good that they would decieve, if possible, even the choosen ones.

The bible also states clearly that even if an angel come from the sky with another gospel besides the existent one, that him be condemned.

So, one has the choice of believe in the Bible, or in whatever books one wish, but not in both, cause they contradict one another.

And dont forget that devil's greatest trick is make people think he doesnt even exist...

P.S. The greatest inconsistency is God saying "I love you." and then saying "I will damn you for all eternity." Its a lie by the church created to control people through fear. And if you don't think the church can make mistakes... well, your not paying attention.

We are already enjoying the hell we have created now thinking we are separate from God. Yet are we in Heaven. The only choice to be made is to continue to search for salvation in idols which will always fail us, or forgive completely your brother and your self and know that Heaven is here. The belief in a devil has caused man to distrust his brother, who is everyone you see. Heaven is not attained through good deeds. Forgiveness is the only way and that is what Jesus taught who was the embodiment of God's forgiveness. Had God allowed his Son (everyone) to leave Him and to be lost to hell, that choice was by man made long ago. Yet God did not abandon us then or ever. We think God is vengeful like us, yet he sent His Son to teach us to forgive each other. The Bible tells us to forgive and that is all ACIM teaches as well. Its completely consistent and it is not another gospel. Its like a course you would take in college to learn something difficult. Thanks, MH

Those who take the Bible literally rather than symbolically...get ready to be stoned, and not the good kind of stoned. All who have not followed Jewish laws according to the literal interpretation, which is most of us I presume, should be stoned to death for one damn thing or another.

Of course its a symbolic text, taught to the people of the day, using language of the day. Then interpreted and reinterpreted not by God but by men who picked and chose what to put in it and what to leave out. Of course they left out all that contradicts what they believe. Of course we need clarification of the Bible. Yet does the Bible serve us and offer us glimpses of Gods love. Peace, MH
