1) can these clones be preserved somehow and for how long?
2) can i clone my plant once i find out if she is definitely female?
3)Will i need a seperate room to put the clone in under 18/6? I have limited space and currently am in 12/12 so would i need to switch it or can i keep it under that?

Basically, in a nutshell, i'm just not sure on these cloning processes. I want to avoid having male plants in future grows so i want to be able to clone, but i need to know how the lighting needs to be. My plant currently has about a little over a month to go with the 12/12 so I'm not sure what to do now.
Thank you
a couple things about cloning and the future. ...first, when you cut a branch
off your plant, it's a cutting, it doesn't become a 'clone' until you've rooted it.

second, as tinytoon says, you can indeed keep cuttings in stasis in your refridgerator
for several weeks.

third, in the future, you'll want to take cuttings from all your plants BEFORE
you flip to 12\12, then, once rooted, flip the clones, then, in about 2 weeks,
you'll know what sex your plants are so you can shitcan the males and start
cloning the girls.

here is a link to an awesome thread on a very cheap and easy method of
cloning that might help answer some of your questions.

i'd also recommend you do a search on cloning and read every thread you
can find, reliable cloning is a MUST have skill.

btw, when i first started out and i only had one environment, my solution
was to run my lights at night so i could then take my vegging stuff, moms,
rooting cuts, and put them in the sun under a window while my budding plants
were in the dark.

this isn't a perfect solution though because, over time, you will forget,
and that led to hermies in my case, not in the mothers, just in the flowers.

anyway, good luck! ...if you are determined, you WILL succeed!
